Sukwon Sunny Kim, PhD, serves as Chief Operations Officer, assisting business development relating to the overall execution of CBW’s business plan and growth of the Company. His responsibilities also include managing Catalate's breakthrough water technology and research.  Dr. Kim has over 10 years of experience in technology, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology.  Dr. Kim was also Co-Founder of  Peptide Pharmaceuticals Inc., one of the earliest Seoul National University based bio-venture companies recognized by the Korea Ministry of Health & Welfare and lead it's IPO establishment on the KOSDAQ.  During his tenure at Peptide Pharmaceuticals Inc, serving as a Vice President for 8 years, he designed high throughput synthesis of bioactive peptides and was responsible for a number of patents with respect to the development of peptide based antibacterial and anticancer drugs. He developed the overall business strategy from design to sales, delivery and support of the products. He was also on the Board of Technology Advisors for Cosmo Gene Tech, Inc., initiating peptide synthesis service and launched custom peptide services in Japan.  Although a Genetic Engineer, his education and career revolved around Biochemistry and Organic Chemistry which helped him to isolate and characterize naturally occurring bioactive agents that are effective against human cancers. His patents include synthetic modified analogs where the effect had been far superior to parent molecules.    

Dr. Kim graduated from The University of Waterloo earning his B Sc in Biotechnology, and later earned his Masters and PhD in Genetic Engineering from Seoul National University in Seoul, Korea.
