Dr. Richard D. Shin, PhD, joined CB Williams on September of 2010 as its Chief Technology Officer with more than 10 years of experience in management and recognized research in biomedcine and biotechnology. His core competencies in molecular immunology, stem cell biology, systems biology, and molecular diagnostics provides CBW with the heart of Catalate™ innovation, carrying the ability to transform groundbreaking science into mainstream commercialized value-added applications. Prior to joining CBW, Dr. Shin established and managed BioMedical Science Korea’s molecular diagnostics lab, one of Korea’s most innovative and valued firms, as its key Director. At Medipost Co. Ltd., Dr. Shin was responsible for the development of therapeutic stem cells for leukemia treatment as a research team leader where his IND (investigational new drug application) submission for enhancing the engraftment efficiency of stem cell transplant received approval by KFDA (Korean Food and Drug Administration) and the efficacy is currently being validated in extensive clinical trials.
Dr. Shin graduated from KAIST (Korea Advanced Institute of Science & Technology) earning his BA in Life Sciences, Masters in Molecular Immunology, and Ph.D degree in Stem Cell Biology from Seoul National University.
